In Ureshino, you can experience the beauty of sakura (cherry blossoms) as early as mid-March, thanks to its location in Kyushu, Japan’s southern region. Unlike in northern parts of the country, where cherry blossoms bloom later, Ureshino offers an early start to the hanami (flower viewing) season. Sakura typically bloom after several warm days and can be enjoyed at their peak for about a week.

One of the popular spots for viewing is around Siebold Spa. Easily accessible by a 25-minute bus ride from Takeo-Onsen Station to the Ureshino Bus Center, the serene combination of sakura and hot springs makes Ureshino a perfect destination for springtime travelers.

Ureshino's autumn season transforms the town into a vivid canvas of red, orange, and gold as the surrounding mountains and tea fields come alive with the changing leaves. The crisp autumn air enhances the serene atmosphere, offering visitors an ideal opportunity to enjoy the natural beauty while relaxing in the famous hot springs.

One of the best spots to admire the autumn foliage is around Todoroki Waterfall, where the vibrant colors of the trees contrast beautifully with the flowing water. Hatten Shrine and the trails around the Kyushu OLLE Ureshino Course also offer stunning views of the autumn landscape. Whether strolling through the town or exploring its more secluded areas, Ureshino’s autumn foliage provides a breathtaking backdrop for an unforgettable visit.
